Playa Blanca

Playa Blanca, the most southerly resort on Lanzarote, is a picturesque and tranquil holiday village with unsurpassed coastal views of the island of Fuerteventura only a mere 11 km by ferry. Ferries cross to the island several times a day from the main harbour. The crossing takes about 45 minutes.

It has some of the most beautiful sandy beaches in the Canaries stretching from Playa Flamingo and Playa Dorada right round to the wonderfully private little coves of Papagayo. It is a perfect resort for families and couples alike.

Playa Blanca has an excellent selection of shops, restaurants, bars and amenities and has a relaxed atmosphere compared to the more frantic and upbeat nightlife of Puerto Del Carmen. Playa Blanca’s newly developed Marina Rubicon is also bursting with lovely restaurants and shops and there are some fine boats to admire whilst you sit and relax at the waters edge. There is a promenade, which starts to the west (near the lighthouse on Punta de Pechiguera) and twists along the edge of the sea, passing its many beaches, until it reaches the famous natural Papagayo beaches to the east. This is approximately a two-hour leisurely walk.

It is a relaxed and tranquil location. The weather is fantastic and you will see why people return to holiday in Playa Blanca year after year.
